Turn signals will give away your next move. A real driver never uses them.

Haha, I’m just kidding. Have this lovely thing for your time.

My turn signal stock actually broke off in my hand this weekend. It was hilariously tragic. I guess that’s what happens when you drive a 43 year old BMW.

Wrong generation BMW - you should have posted a picture of pretty much any post-2000 model year BMW. Older ones are typically driven well and their drivers tend to have better road etiquette from my experience.

BMW and turn signals story: I was helping a friend move cars years ago, and his dad’s BMW was one of those being moved. In addition to the trans being trained to shift in a moronic way, the turn signal was the first one I’d had to drive with a momentary-on style turn signal lever. You know the type- stays on related to how long you press, doesn’t click or lock or do anything a signal lever is supposed to do. HATED IT, and I could feel the urge to just not use it at all growing... Fortunately the drive was over before I succumbed to the darkness forever.

just curious...what do you drive exactly? I rarely ever see BMWs older than 20 years around here

I’d use them more often but I’m speeding so fast I’m too far ahead of you to need them

The element of surprise is the best element.

No arguments there - the one you posted is perfect. The only way you can go better than this is to go back even further to 3.0 CSL or 2002 tii.

I picked up this 1972 Bavaria around 6 months ago. Needs some work obviously but the 3.0 inline 6 is buttery smooth and easy to maintain.

It’s still in “project” mode but I hope to have a formal post on it soon!
